Pingo's Big Debut

Alright! Today is the official publication date for Pingo!  Both Brandon Mull and I are super excited to see this book out for everyone to enjoy.  I know Brandon Mull is signing copies at the LDS Booksellers Association Convention today.  Wish I could be there as well, however I'm finishing up the art for J. Scott Savage's next Farworld book, Land Keep; yet another great read from Shadow Mountain.

Go Pingo, go!

Speaking of Land Keep, just saw the sketches for parts 1, 2, and 4. Nor sure you could hear the my screams of delight all the way out there, but it was probably close. Incredible, dude!

Those of us on the East Coast...actually, out in the Atlantic, are just as excited as you on the West! Have ordered Pingo on Amazon as we're 100 miles from any big cities. Brandon Mull excited ALL the kids in my county about Pingo in April when he came. We librarians will have it in five schools next week for our kids who are incredibly devoted followers of both of you!

Hey Brandon! My kids love this book...and me too. :) Glad to hear you are doing another book cover for For World! Great work keeps coming! And how long were you in Hawaii? Your son is really growing up! Mine is starting Kindergarten next week!!! Yikes! Say, how did you reformat your blog? It looks great. Mine is still in the really narrow category. Yuck. And a waste of space. Not only are you talented my friend, but you have business sense. Talent alone has taken me nowhere. It is the business sense and savvy that gets you somewhere! Take care bro.

Brandon-It was so nice to meet you and your wife at Education Week today! I came home and told my kids that I had met you and they were in awe...they pulled out all our Fablehaven books and were looking at all your beautiful art. Then I asked them if they had ever read Far World and my daughter went over and pulled it out of our library basket! You are an amazing artist...I am going to have my 13 year old peruse your whole site so that she can see how much fun sketching things can be.

Mr Dorman: I have been enjoying your work for some time now, having read all the Fablehaven books, and FarWorld and the Wednesday Tales.. very enjoyable work you do!
I wish I could afford to buy books "just because" as I love the artwork I have seen in Wizards and would love to get that book for your work.. well, I mean, after all at my age (65) the reading part is above my intelligence! :o)

continued success!

Hey Brando!! I can't wait to get Pingo for my kiddos. I used to check yours and Emily's blog before it became private. Your little guys are darling! How is life treating you? I saw your mom while I was in town and she mentioned "The Christmas Sweater." I called Glenn and told him that we were neighbors growing up and good friends forever and that he'd better be good to you!!! We LOVE your artwork. It kills me that you used to teach Cam drawing lessons and here you are an accomplished illustrator. Congrats dude, you are amazing!
