Goosebumps on Today Show

Last year I started working on a new series of GOOSEBUMPS books. You know, the scary kids books that get boys to read!  The renowned and bestselling author R.L. Stine has come out with GOOSEBUMPS HORRORLAND.  For about ten months I've had the privlege of painting 12 new covers for some of the old GOOSEBUMPS titles along with those for HORRORLAND.  This morning on the Today Show, First Lady, Laura Bush hosted R.L. Stine as they talked about the series.   I'd been given a tip that they might print some large posters to display in the background of my covers, but in the end they just showed a few snapshots, but heck, my artwork on national television . . .?! I'll take it! Check out the clip here.

You get the coolest projects. I loved Goosebumps as a kid. (Not that I would want to illustrate monsters, not really my thing anymore) Congratulations on the great news, and all the fun stuff you get to do.

Goosebumps wasn't just for boys you know. I learned all my torturing techniques from those awesome books. Congrats!

I saw you last night at the Fablehaven party. I was totally going to come say hi but the line was so long so I didn't wait. I hope you survived the night. Do you feel like a movie star or what.

The party was cool. I had a good time. I saw Lance Fry there so that was fun. Post on your blog or something next time you come to Utah and maybe I can make it.

congrats on the press! my triathlon team has recently gotten some press too, so i hope our names don't cross too much on the national level any time soon. a high school math teacher triathlon coach that draws amazing pictures for #1 bestsellers and has work featured on national television... what a cool guy, that brandon dorman...
