The Big House


A few months ago I did this cover for The Big House, a young reader's novel. It was a fun assignment. Below is my sketch I initially sent in.

Did you even take Basic Drawing? I think you should study up on your perpective some more. Other than that, I guess this is ok...

This is actually one of your best perspective pieces yet. I really like the action it adds to it, even though the figures are basically stationary.

I just happened across your blog and am compelled to comment. This is a wonderful illustration. The perspective is delicious and the rendering on the lady's face is so full of caracter. Bravo!
